Our Story

Bettie’s Restaurant is an intimate restaurant from Chef Benel featuring Haitian, Caribbean and Latin cuisine. Betie was Chef Benel's mother who taught him how to cook from the age of 9. She operated a very successful catering company in Dominican Republic for many years. Chef who started as a line cook in the company made his way to head chef under his mother's leadership and fell in love with cooking. Bettie's is his celebration of his mother's favorite dishes and is junior project in New Jersey.
